Greece government has expressed its concern regarding the suspension of the OSCE mission in Georgia - Foreign Minister of Greece Mrs. Dora Bakoyan voi

`We are most of all worried about the fact that the 56 member states have failed to reach consensus on Georgia crisis. Greece, as the chairman country of the organization, will continue activities to resume the OSCE operation in Georgia,` the Minister said.
Russia vetoed the extension of the OSCE mission in Georgia on December 23 session. The Russian delegation was very sharp in its position saying the previous mandate was inept today because Abkhazia and South Ossetia were already independent republics.

By vetoing the OSCE mission extension in Georgia Russia has in fact breached the six-point ceasefire agreement.

By vetoing the OSCE mission extension in Georgia Russia has in fact breached the six-point ceasefire agreement.

The decision to breach Russia`s solemn pledge to allow the OSCE to continue its work in Georgia should be seen in the light of Putin`s new diplomacy. There is little the OSCE or its Euro-Atlantic members can do. The interesting thing will be to see if President Sarkozy makes a protest. It was his agreement that has now been dishonoured. Will Paris protest or has Putin won another trick in his efforts to divide Europeans internally and Europe from North America?

As u can see Putin wants to quarrel Europe to could do what he wants in Georgia!

Russia sends so-called ambassadors to Georgia`s breakaway regions

17.12.08
So-called Russian ambassador to Georgia`s breakaway region of South Ossetia Elbrus Kargiyev on Tuesday presented his credentials to the separatist leader Eduard Kokoity.
Another so-called ambassador of the Russian federation to Georgia`s occupied region Abkhazia Semion Grigoryev has handed over his credentials to another separatist leader Sergey Baghapsh, who in his turn expressed hope that the relations between Abkhazia and Russia would be intensified in the future.

How do you guy think about it? I find it rather ridiculous especially since Russia does not treat these regions like autonomous republics. We do know very well from Soviet Union what  the term "autonomous" means for them. Their so called ambassadors are only appointed governors of Putin's nibs.
